Horse Show Summer Schedule 2010

 Sundays May 23 -  June 13  - July 18 - Sept. 12  - Oct. 10
Entry Fees : Classes 1 to 28 - £5.   Clear Round - £1.   Novelty Classes - £3
All entries on the day. NO STALLIONS/COLTS except well behaved yearlings. NO FOALS.

Classes will not start before the time shown. We are not responsible if you miss your class. 

Ring 1 - SHOW JUMPING
Horses/ponies must be 4 yrs or over 

LOW CLEAR ROUND 9.30am
Rosettes to all clears

1. Beginner’s S.J.  11am
J
umps 1’ 6” approx. Horse/pony never placed in any SJ event. One round, slow bogey time based on trot.  Everyone with a clear will be placed. No horse/rider in this class may enter any other SJ class except Class 2.

2. The Tina Trophy 11.30am
Jumps 2' approx, cup to winner. Any speed.  In memory of Tina, a much loved pony who died at the Shield Stables in 2009.  This class is designed to give all riders an equal chance. The numbers of those riding clear will be drawn to decide the winners.  Entry fees will go to World Horse Welfare (formerly ILPH).

CLEAR ROUND - 2’3"
Not before 1pm
 

3. Intermediate SJ
2'6" approx.  If you jump a clear, wait for the whistle and jump again, to avoid the need to come back for a jump off
 

4. Fun Scurry
 2'6" scurry course on time, ground conditions permitting

5. CHASE ME CHARLIE 
May be split if sufficient entries

9.  Best Lead Rein Pony **

13hh and under, child rider on lead

           Not before 11.30 am
10.   Best Novice Ride
Horses/ponies suitable for a beginner, off lead. Helper may walk with novice riders to give confidence.  Walk / trot only except in individual shows.


11.  Riding Horse/Pony **
No jumping. Judged on conformation, manners and paces. 

  BREAK - next class not before 1.30pm

12. RC Horse/PC Pony**
Judged on manners and performance.

13. Ridden M&M /Native Types** Unplaited / untrimmed

14.  Working Hunter
Judged on style and performance, natural jumps 2'3” approx. Plan at secretary’s tent.

15. Ridden Veteran
– 13 years and over

CHAMPIONSHIP (September only) for winners of classes 9 to 15

 Note :  Where there are a large number of entrants, classes may be split.
