PHOTOS FROM OUR JULY SHOW
Many thanks to kind Peter Jarrett who has placed a large number of photos, mainly of the fancy dress class - which was amazing! - on the net, available for entrants to download.   Click here

IMPROVED FIRST AID COVERAGE
In order to provide a better service, in case of any injury on the showground, we will now have professional first aid cover provided by  East Sussex Medical Events Service .

NEW TACK SHOP
Rokers of Guildford will be providing mobile tack shop facilities at the Shield Shows in 2010. Many of you will be aware of the excellent range  of equine goods and feeds available from their warehouse.  If you need any particular items, phone Amy on 01483 235355 a day or two before the show, and she will bring it with her.

The "Other Local Shows" page has now been updated to offer you a
local showing diary for 2010 together with links to the schedules for other shows.

Running a show?  Ask us to include your event.

In 2009 we donated
£500 to World Horse Welfare (formerly the ILPH),
£800 to Pine Ridge Dog Sanctuary
and
£1,200 to Border Collie and Sheepdog Rescue
Thank you for all your support, otherwise this would not have been possible.  We welcomed Field Officer Ted Barnes of World Horse Welfare (formerly ILPH) to our October show. The photo shows him presenting the winner's rosette and trophy  of "The Tina Trophy" - our charity class - to the winner, staunch Shield Show supporter Sarah Culverhouse.

OUR MISSION
Always, the aim of the Shield Shows has been to provide a safe, enjoyable and informative environment for those who are new to competitive riding, showing  or handling.  Our judges are chosen for their all round knowledge, and may not know all breeds in detail.  But they will offer help, support and advice to encourage newcomers, especially the young.
